The Disco Tagada Rides is a unique form of amusement equipment.

Its rotation happens around the central axis.

1.1 Main Structure of Tagada Rides


The disco tagada rides has five components.

  • Base Part
  • Cylinder Part
  • Turntable Part
  • Air Compressor Unit
  • Pneumatic Control Unit.

i. Base Part

The base consists of a large cross-hinged bearing seat and a cylinder seat.

They are both firmly mounted in unison to support the amusement equipment.

It also helps in withstanding the gravity that would come with it.

ii. Cylinder Parts

For fast action, the piston in the cylinder is made to adopt the piston ring seal.


The cylinder piston rod is connected with the large frame by the ball joint, while the cylinder tube is connected with the base by the cross hinge.

1.2 Working Principle of Tagada Rides


The movement of the disco tagada consists of two kinds of movements; rotation and undulation.


The rotatory motion of the turntable is linked to the reducer of the motor.


The output shaft of the reducer is equipped with a pinion gear.

The pinion gear meshes with the large gear mounted under the turntable to drive the whole turntable to rotate.

The speed of the tagada rides is regulated by the inverter and peripheral components.

The circuit is a controlled one.


The undulating movement of the disco turntable is controlled by the two main cylinders and the two auxiliary cylinders.

They raise and drop the tagada rhythmically and repeatedly.

1. 3 Safety Device of Tagada Rides


The safety devices of the disco tagada are in three forms:

i. Main cylinder lower limit detection switch

ii. Fixed parking door position detection switch

iii. Door closing and the pedal detection switch

This is a proximity switch.

It detects whether the device has stopped at the designated height position.

ii. The fixed parking door position detection switch
Like the first, this is also a proximity switch.

iii. The door closing and pedal detection switch
This is the travel switch.
